Artist Statement
To me, painting is a discovery of the hidden spirit in the Universe. There is the unexplainable power of duende; a mysterious power which everyone feels and no philosopher can explain. I have experienced, from time to time, the mystical atmosphere of this power. Once tasted, it is an unforgettable excitement. I am always searching for this mystical power and trying to bring it into my paintings. I have discovered or invented, with time and difficulty, how to connect myself to the power of duende. The more I release myself, the more I discover new territory of the aesthetic world... though it is not easy because if exists only where there is a possibility of death. My spirit clings to the hope to continually dwell there someday, with the dark sounds and the mystical world.TAGS: Visual Arts| abstract | Paintings
