Setting up an account
The first step in creating an artist profile is to create an account. It's free and there are no strings attached.
Visit this page to create an account. Remember to write down your user name and (secure) password so you can edit your page later.
You will then be taken to the Artist Registration page where you can register either as an individual artist or a group.
Filling out text fields
Make sure you fill in all applicable fields, including First Name and Last Name for indexing purposes.
Add text about yourself to your Artist Bio (and optional Artist Statement if applicable).
Make sure to add your website and any social media that you use.
The profile photo can be of you OR your work, it's up to you. If you do not submit a profile picture we will create an avatar for you. Note that all profile photos are automatically made square. If you care about how it is formatted it is better to submit a square photo in the first place (ideally 600X600 pixels).
You can also choose to submit other photos of you and/or your work. Please don't submit photos that are too large in order to save bandwidth. An ideal size is 800 to 1200 pixels on the long edge and a maximum size of 350 to 400 bytes.
Submitting your artist profile
Once you are done entering text and adding photos, click the submit button at the bottom. A green bar will appear at the top of the page to confirm that your submission has been received. Note that artist submissions on this site are adjudicated and are subject to approval before publishing. Your artist profile will not appear on the site until it has been approved.
Editing your page
You can edit or add to your profile page at any time by visiting this page, using the username and password that you saved earlier in the process. Please note that once you edit your profile, you will need to wait for approval again before the page appears on the site.
If you have any questions, please email email@example.com. We will get back to you as soon as we can . . .
Thank you for your interest in this project!
