This story centres on a Canadian girl of mixed English and Japanese descent, who listens to her Grandma Tanaka’s account of the Japanese Canadian evacuation. “Remember, Chrysanthemum” was published in Winds Through Time: An Anthology of Canadian Historical Young Adult Fiction (Beach Holme Publishing) and reprinted in Crossroads 7 (Gage Educational Publishing).
