Bio

Ann Suzuki is an Ontario-based textile artist who uses the ancient Javanese technique of batik, a wax-resist dyeing method, to create her unique silk designs. Suzuki wishes to create garments which ‘make the wearer feel special while being comfortable’.

She hand-selects and dyes silks, and then creates one of a kind garments based on the colours and patterns in the batik. She has been practicing for over forty years, and has exhibited her works in solo and group shows around Ontario.
