Bio
Eric Koyanagi is a filmmaker, writer and editor. He wrote and directed the seminal Asian American feature film hundred percent, which LA Weekly declared, ‘A bright sharp comedy-drama with funky retro flair to spare,’ and the LA Times heralded as ‘Winning knockabout comedy!’ He followed it up with the US-Japan co-production, Shadow Fury, a high-wire martial arts extravaganza featuring the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team.
Koyanagi is also an accomplished TV editor. A veteran of the Emmy-nominated series Undercover Boss for CBS and America’s Next Top Model for VH-1. His long list of TV credits also includes post-production work for AMC, MTV, VH1, E!, BET, Discovery, Bravo and Lifetime.
He earned a BA from University of Toronto in Cinema Studies before graduating with an MFA from USC Film School. Currently, Eric is part of the brain trust behind Munky King Animation, a creative posse dedicated to fresh and tasty animated storytelling.
He lives in Los Angeles, California, with his wonderful family.
