Bio

Peter Kosaka is a Japanese-born actor who built a film and theatre career primarily in Toronto, all while working a day job in finance. He came to Canada to study acting at the University of Windsor, receiving his BFA in 1985. After graduating, he worked as a dancer in a modern dance company, and later took a number of temporary day jobs. One of these jobs, at a brokerage firm, led to a full-time job offer that was still flexible enough to allow him to pursue acting gigs when he liked. His theatre credits from the 1980s and 1990s include Arsenic and Old Lace, M. Butterfly, The Tale of a Mask, and the Winnipeg production of Naomi’s Road. He has also made dozens of film and TV appearances, including in Street LegalMurdoch Mysteries, and Pacific Rim. In recent years, Kosaka has moved back to Japan.
