Bio

Takashi Yamashita is an architect who operates in the corporate world of commercial real estate, finance, and development. A partner and president at Takol Real Estate in Toronto, he is also a member of both the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and the Manitoba Association of Architects. Born in Manitoba, he received his BES (Architecture) and M.Arch from the University of Manitoba (1992 and 1995 respectively), and worked as a project architect for seven years with Smith Carter Architects and Engineers on such projects as the New Canadian Embassy in Berlin, Germany, a restoration of Canada House in Trafalgar Square, London, and the Hudson’s Bay Addition to Museum of Nature. He then returned to school to received his MBA from the University of Toronto, and since 2004, has worked in real estate development and management.
