Artist Statement
My childhood was filled with playing in the outdoors, rather than studying in Japan. I think that the experience of being surrounded by nature, has had a great influence on my current imaginative art style. Since transferring the base of my creation to Canada, my style has been spreading even more than imaginable, inspired by the great nature of Canada. Professor Judith Saltman at the University of British Columbia, expresses my work as ‘Magic Realism.’
