Artist Statement

I am searching for genfukei - That is an occurrence when your inner landscape and your outer landscape are recognized as one and same. My drawings create dream like landscapes using repeating cross lines with hard pencils (H-10H). This slow process results in very subtle and soft drawings. My paintings focus on a subtleness of color balance with a layering technique of oil paint and tempera paint on linen canvas.
